Topic 10 Jim Carrey

This time I will introduce a slightly different type of actor, Jim Carrey. I have introduced 9 actors so far in my blog posts, but I think Jim Carrey's type is different from them, because his movies are mostly comedy movies. Probably you think so too. So we have an image that he is a little strange, but actually it's mistake.

Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey was born in Ontario, Canada in 1962. He is 52 now. In 1994, he appeared in the movie "The Mask" and he had a chance to become famous as a comedy actor. It's a good comedy movie and it was a very important career step for him. And he has a nice personality, so he is in favor of regulation of guns, and he posted a video that made a sardonic remark to the people who oppose the regulation of guns on the Internet. He showed off a song "Cold Dead Hand" with American rockband Eels in the video. He is not always a playful person like the roles of some of his movies.

My favorite Jim Carrey movie

I like some Jim Carrey comedy movies. Of course they are very amusing movies, I want to recommend all of his comedy movies, but especially I want you to watch a peculiarly interesting movie,  "Yes Man." This movie is based on a book written by an English author. Jim Carrey acted the part of a man who is depressed and always says "No." One day, he attends a dubious seminar and he is challenged to answer "Yes" for any question. The movie's story depicts the changes in his life. It's my favorite one, so please check it out.

Topic 9 Scarlett Johansson

Last week, I was suffering about who I should introduce in my next blog post. Then my English teacher, Kevin, recommended Scarlett Johansson. He said '' She is so beautiful, why don't you introduce her?" So today I will introduce Scarlett Johansson. I said "I like hero movies and Marvel Studios movies." once or twice in my blog posts. I knew her first time when I watched one of those movies.

Scalrett Johansson was born in New York, U.S. in 1984. She is 30 now. She is an actress, model and also singer. She debuted in the movie "North" in 1994. This is an American comedy film directed by cast of the movie is gorgeous. Elijah Wood, Bruce Willis, Scarlett Johansson, all co-star in this movie. But this movie was unpopular in Japan, and maybe also in U.S. It was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award. I still have never watched "North," so I am interested in it. In 2005, Johansson become an Ambassodor of Oxfam. Oxfam is a group that does activities to support the eradication of poverty and injustice in more than 100 countries. She is doing charity activities with Oxfam, but in January of this year, she resigned as Ambassodor.

My favorite Scarlett Johansson movie

Today, I'll suggest you watch the Scarlett Johansson movie, "We Bought a Zoo," if you have time. This film is favored by me. It's a true story, baced on We Bought a Zoo written by Benjamin Mee. Matt Damon had the role of Benjamin Mee. He has two children, but his wife died. Then, Benjamin's family bought an aging zoo and a house. Scarlett Johansson played Kelly Foster, a zookeeper and long time employee at the zoo. Benjamin and Kelly met at the zoo when Benjamin moved the house. The film depicts Benjamin's family's feelings vary according to experience on the way to reopening the zoo. I think it's a heartwarming tale, so I want you to watch this film.
